The Lorikeets and the Rainbow tells the story of the lorikeets in the bottle brush tree. They are eating nectar from the flowers and then it rains and a rainbow appears. Brand new in 2020, The Lorikeets and the Rainbow is composed for Primary School choirs. It teaches unison singing as well as the soprano part sings and the altos repeat the phrases. It is written for SA and piano.

“Sunlight shining through the trees,
Lorikeets in crimson shades
Yellow, red, blue and green,
Eating nectar from the trees.
And the the rain comes with droplets falling from the sky, And then the sun comes and brightens up the cloudy sky.
The lorikeets fly up into the highest bough, radiant they are against the blue sky.
See the lovely bottle brush, lorikeets spread out their wings.
Yellow, red, blue and green, Eating nectar from the flowers.
And the the rain comes with droplets falling from the sky, And then the sun comes and brightens up the cloudy sky.
The lorikeets fly up into the highest bough, radiant they are against the rainbow. ” Sherelle Eyles
